7 Types of pronouns:

Pronoun  is a word which is used to avoid the repetition of noun  or it is a word which is used instead of a noun.



There are seven kinds of a pronoun.

• Personal pronoun.


I   , we  , you  , he  ,  ( she  , it  ) are called personal pronouns because these words stand for the three persons, 

(I) the person speaking ,               ( i  , we ) 

(ii) the person spoken to.              ( you )

(iii) the person spoken of.    ( he , she , they)

1st person:                     singular               plural


• Nominative=                     I                         we

• possesive   =            my  , mine       our  , ours

• Accusative=                    Me                     Us




2nd person:                singular /plural


• Nominative=                     you                   

• possesive   =               your      , yours

• Accusative=                     you





3rd person:                   singular               plural


                              (M)       (F)       Neuter      All

                              

• Nominative=     he        she          it            they

• possesive   =    his    her/hers      its    their/theirs

• Accusative=      him         her       it      them         Us



• Distributive pronoun.


The word which refer to the person or things one at a time  are called destributive pronoun. 

For example:  ( each  , either  ,  neither ) 



• Demonstrative pronoun


Demonstrative pronoun point some noun going before.     


LIKE    =>   this   , these , those , one , ones 



*Relative pronouns


They relate to some noun or pronoun going before 


LIKE  =>       who  , whom , which  , that

The relative pronoun who has different forms for accusative and Genitive . 


                                  Singular   /  Plural 

Nominative=                          who

Genitive      =                         whose

Accusative =                     whom / who



*Reflexive pronoun


When  self is added to  ( my  . You , him , her , it  etc ) and selve with ( yours , them ) 

they are called reflexive pronoun 

when the action done by subject turn back upon the subject.   


( himself  , themselves , herself )


• Indefinite pronoun


The pronoun which are used in general way but do not refer to any person or thing in particular  are called Indefinite pronoun.


Like  =>  ( Some one . Few . None . Somebody. Nobody. Many etc. ) 



*Interrogative pronoun.


Interogative pronoun are used for asking questions 

like  =>  which  , why ,  what , who . Whom
