What is a preposition?



The word preposition mean """ that which is placed before"""


A preposition is a word used before a noun or pronoun to show its relation with another person or thing. 



Example: 


    # there is a book on the table.    ( on) 


In above sentence the word (on) came before the word table to show the relationship of table with book. 



#A preposition joins a noun to another noun


#The preposition joins a noun to an adjective .


# The preposition joins a noun to a verb


# The noun or pronoun which is used with a preposition is called its object. 


# A preposition may have two or more objects;. 


 Like : the road runs over hill and plain.
